Beads N Crafts (2011 and after) - Sue & Mark
We decided at the beginning of 2011 to close our shop in St.Helier, and concentrate on revamping our web site.
We attended our local Craft Fairs & Markets during the summer months to product test our new range of
We now feel that we have designed a range that is attractive, but still practical & sensibly priced.
Our web site will hopefully give the same experience of designing your own gifts for family and friends
that our customers enjoy when visiting our stall at Craft Fairs & markets.
Jersey Soap - Sue Chatterley
Originally established by Sue Chatterley, 'The Samares Manor Soap Shop' was based at Samares Manor in St Clement (Jersey).
Moving to The Harbour Gallery (St Aubin) in 2006, the name was changed to 'The Jersey Soap Shop' or just
From mid 2010, we have ceased actively using the name "Jersey Soap" (although we retain the applicable rights) and are now concentrating
on the broader crafts side of the business under the name "Beads N Crafts".
The range of natural, handmade soaps we produce has been refined over the last few years, although our Au Natrel (non perfumed, colour free soaps) are still the most popular.
In 2008 we launched our website, offering our most popular products. At the same time we revised our
packaging to produce more attractive gift wrapping, while ensuring that we made use of the most environmentally friendly packaging available.
In 2011 we now only sell a limited range of our handmade soaps at craft markets, mainly to holiday makers who
still love to have a small locally made gift to take home.
Beads N Crafts - Mark Sallai
Mark Sallai launched Beads N Crafts in 2007, merging with Jersey Soap in 2008 and is now
hard at work building his business into Jersey's premier bead supplier, and providing a top quality
online beads for sale service.
In April 2010, Bead N Crafts officially opened their first standalone bead shop at 6 Colomberie Parade, St Helier, Jersey.
Beads-N-Crafts stock a vast range of charms, beads and findings of all types - plastic charms, glass beads, lampwork beads,
metal beads and some rarer items including cult, kitsch and fashion beads/charms (such as retro beads, skull charms, pokemon and disney characters and more).
In 2011 we still have a good range of beads etc which Mark makes into his very popular range of bracelets & necklaces.
We have doubled our range of charms, with Hello kitty still being the top best seller for little girls.
Although we no longer do craft workshops, we still sell our Bracelet kits which are perfect for as Birthday Party activity.
Mark also offers a bracelet & necklace re-stringing service - just incase that beloved piece of fashion jewellery breaks!
